David Mogg, SNP candidate for
Dunfermline North in the May Council elections for Fife Council, was interested
to see recent correspondence in the “Press” regarding the proposals for
Muircockhall in Townhill.
“I have followed the story from the start of the original planning
application and would agree with Townhill Community Council that something must
be done about the condition of the site”, said Mr Mogg at the weekend
Dunfermline SNP meeting.
“My concern has always been that the building of any substantial structure
on a site riddled with old, very old and possibly unrecorded, coal mine
workings would be a risky venture. The extensive survey and remedial works
required by the developer could be very expensive and here is the crucial
point. I do not trust the developer!
