or his ‘Stalinist’ Chancellor, Gordon Brown, after his pathetic attempt to
discredit Sir George Mathewson last week?” asked William G Walker, SNP Council
candidate for West Fife and Coastal Villages at last Monday’s West Fife
meeting.
“Sir George is possibly Scotland’s greatest living businessman. He built up the Royal Bank of Scotland into a global player after successfully heading up the Scottish Development Agency. Yet, Tony Blair described Sir George as ‘not a real businessman’, ‘self-indulgent’ and ‘absurd’ for daring to suggest that Scottish Independence would be good for our economy and the future of our country.
