SNP Landslide Sweeps Labour Aside in Dunfermline!

Election Win 2011 - (Photo:Jim Payne)A political tsunami swept Labour aside in Dunfermline and elected local SNP candidate Cllr Bill Walker as Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) for Dunfermline in the new Scottish Parliament.

The full result as declared was:

  • Bill Walker (SNP) - 11,050
  • Alex Rowley (Labour) - 10,420
  • Jim Tolson (LibDems) - 5,576
  • James Reekie (Conservative) - 2,093

Winning candidate, Bill Walker, declared: "This is a stunning victory for the positive campaign of pride and self-respect run by the the SNP.
